What we do

As one of Europe’s most renowned professional training initiatives, for over 20 years Documentary Campus has provided traditional and immersive filmmakers with tailored training and advice on how to develop your ideas, provide networking opportunities to find co-production partners and commissioning editors, and advise you on how to make your films appeal to international audiences.

Through a combination of private and public workshops, webinars, and industry events, Documentary Campus introduces budding filmmakers to the international standards and rules of the game. We provide professionals and up-and-coming talents with the know-how and contacts to help their films, series, and interactive experiences succeed on an international scale, plus access to partner festivals, markets and training intiatives to expand your global network. Moreover, our SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival esteemed annual event brings to the forefront the leading voices in science communication on a global platform.

Our programme of activities is flexible and reacts to current trends in the market, ensuring it is constantly relevant and helpful, with a focus on green producing and business development. We encourage diversity and inclusion in the participants and experts, and as well in the project topics and formats. The Documentary Campus network boasts one of the largest networks of media professionals, spanning the globe from our home in Europe to Asia, South America, the Middle East and North Africa.
