As CEO of the German production house beetz brothers film production – A Leonine Company, Christian Beetz has produced numerous documentary feature films and series both as producer and author for more than twenty years. Among his track record are an Academy Award nomination (OPEN HEART, 2013), Emmy® Award nominations (WAGNERWAHN 2014, THE CLEANERS 2018), a Special Jury Award for Best Cinematography at Sundance Film Festival (THE LAND OF THE ENLIGHTENED, 2016) and Sundance Premieres (THE CLEANERS 2018, GAZA 2019, ETERNAL YOU 2024). He recently produced JUAN CARLOS - DOWNFALL OF THE KING, a Sky Original nominated among others for Grimme Award, Realscreen Awards and Rockie Awards, bought by ARD; as well as the Netflix Original Series CRIME SCENE BERLIN: NIGHTLIFE KILLER, which made it to the Netflix top 10 in 14 countries within the first week of release
