DCampus Exchange Halle (Saale)
DCampus is a new and unique European initiative, which marks the expansion of our training and industry events programme to reflect the landmark shift towards digital, online, immersive, and digital-first content happening in the global media industry right now. This is a tectonic shift in the industry, hence our strong emphasis on reflecting these developments throughout our programme.
DCampus stands for both Documentary and Digital and brings together the traditional and digital industry through a high-level training- and events programme. DCampus offers upcoming creative talent and the wider factual industry a rich mix of carefully curated content through the training programme and two industry events to help media professionals and aspiring factual filmmaking talent to get to grips with the digital shift.
DCampusExchange Halle (Saale) is the annual pitching event of the DCampus programme, which will take place during the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival. DCampus Halle is a meeting point for professionals from the traditional documentary film industry and the digital sector—platforms, creatives, digital producers, media libraries, digital clients, and distributors. The focus is on creating future partnerships between talent and decision-makers, with the aim of getting new projects into production.
Over 2 days pitches will take place in three different categories
- Documentary and factual projects (the final pitches of the projects developed in DCampus Workshops and selected alumni projects)
- Digital-first projects
- Science Media projects
Participants present their new projects to international decision-makers (platforms, online and traditional commissioners, sales agents, distributors, funds, brands) and an audience of 300+ AV professionals.The hub will also include One-to-One Meetings between projects and decision-makers as well as joint networking events and a lively cultural and social programme offered by the festival.
