DCampus Exchange: Positive Charge in Halle

DCampus Hub Halle

We invite you to two inspiring days in Halle where you will discover emerging talent and bold storytelling. Positive Charge brings together people, ideas and approaches generating new energy in the documentary and media community. On both days, the 2026 cohort of DCampus and selected alumni pitch their brand new projects. With feature documentaries, series, and cutting-edge digital projects in the line-up across all genres and formats, the showcase presents a unique opportunity to connect with ambitious creators and uncover outstanding stories with global appeal. In addition, we will zoom in on people exploring fresh creative and commercial approaches as well as the mindset and entrepreneurialism required to thrive in the documentary business.

DCampus Exchange is our highlight event for the documentary community within the 9th SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival, adding an extra layer of inspiration and energy to the experience - this year on the theme of health.

Registration is now open here. Stay tuned for programme updates.

Welcome words by

Projects of Dcampus 2026 will pitch for the first time to an international audience of key industry experts.

Short break

As traditional broadcasting shifts, YouTube has evolved into an essential destination for television and documentary producers seeking both new revenue streams and global reach. Nils Franck, Managing Director at Little Dot Studios Germany, joins Adam Gee in conversation to explore how production companies and producers can breathe new life into existing TV catalogues whilst also discussing the shift toward platform-native, digital-first originals. They will unpack the vast creative and financial opportunities of the platform, while offering a clear-eyed look at the algorithm dynamics, monetisation hurdles, and rights-management pitfalls that can come with it.

The documentary industry is changing fast. Familiar paths to funding, audiences and collaboration are shifting, while new technologies raise difficult questions about the future of creative work. How can we stay grounded and move forward when certainty is in short supply? In this interactive session, psychologist Eva Asselmann combines practical psychological insights with honest perspectives from people across the industry. Participants will explore where they still have influence, how to deal with pressures beyond their control, and identify a concrete next step.

Projects which pitched on Day 1 will have one-to-one meetings with industry experts. The rest of the audience can enjoy the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival programme

Join us for Day 2 of DCampus Exchange.
