Agnes Mistlberger-Reiner Research Project

Agnes Mistlberger-Reiner research poster

Agnes studies extracellular vesicles, which are a messenger service for cells, just like What’s App. So, cells can produce these tiny bubbles, pack them with information and send them to other cells to tell them what’s going on or what they should do. During her PhD studies, she explored how extracellular vesicles can change due to the disease of ovarian cancer and how this could help us to diagnose this disease earlier. Now, she wants to discover new functions of extracellular vesicles and find out how they differ in younger or older people.
