This documentary builds a portrait of the Egyptian revolution that stands apart from the commercially packaged version. It enters deep into social media, video games, and popular art to build an alternative revolutionary poem. By combining philosophy, art, humor and social analysis it deconstructs revolutionary myths, asks critical questions, and uncovers what the years of upheaval and revolution have really been about. In what direction have people changed history? How have revolutionary memes entered the public imagination and altered culture? And how do events and ideas take on meaning, and then change it, as they circulate between multiple actors, media, and virtual and non-virtual spaces? The film draws on a wealth of original material from archived Facebook pages, YouTube channels, private online chats, interviews with philosophers, and our own personal experiences to introduce new stories and retell old ones.
