"Dear Future, I am Ready" follows the story of Yasemin, a woman from Turkey who kills her abusive husband in an act of self-defense. After being released from prison with her seven-month-old child following a three-year sentence, she encounters relentless threats and relocates to Switzerland, where she is granted a landmark political asylum, a first of its kind in acknowledging that femicide is political. The documentary captures Yasemin's path from a survivor of domestic abuse to a key figure in the international women's rights movement.
