DCampus Workshops
Costs & financing
DCampus Workshops covers the following costs:
- Training at the Workshops
- A Mentor per project
- Staff, Experts/lecturers and organisational costs
This is made possible by the generous support of film funds, film institutes, broadcasters, companies and governmental bodies.
As this money has to be partly raised in the country or region of the participants’ origin, a few applicants may have to apply for development funding linked to their project. In this case Documentary Campus will support them.
Costs for the Participants
During the compulsory workshops the participants only have to cover costs for travel, accommodation and daily subsistence. Documentary Campus arranges special deals for participants (e.g. at hotels) wherever possible.
Repayment
Documentary Campus has to repay the project development and vocational training costs to its funding bodies whenever the developed project goes into production. It is important that the participants are fully aware of this. The amount that has to be reimbursed MUST be included in the film’s final budget once in production. It should be paid back once full financing is in place and no later than the first shoot day. The producers must make sure and demonstrate that the ultimate funders of the production are aware of and in agreement with this repayment necessity.
Each produced project has to repay €4,000. Projects that are not produced have no such repayment.
