Vivienne Li

Viv Li is a Chinese filmmaker, writer and producer based in Berlin and Beijing. She is a Berlinale Talents Alumni, Nipkow Fellow, IDFAcademy Alumni and recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. Viv holds a Masters Degree in Documentary Directing from DocNomads and a bachelor’s degree with honours in Drama and Film Studies from the University of Manchester. Before turning to film, she was an active stand-up comedian and performed around the UK and China. Viv has since gained extensive experience in the film and media industry with clients such as Vogue China, Fashion One, HBO and DAZN. 10 years she’s lived in various countries in Europe, South America and Asia, pursuing an artistic career as a filmmaker. Her films have been screened and awarded internationally, including IDFA and Institute of Documentary.
