Sunna Guðnadóttir is an Icelandic film producer and the founder of Bjartsýn Films. With education in Psychology (BA), Cultural Management (MA), and Film Production (NYFA, Los Angeles), she brings a rare blend of creative vision and strategic expertise to her work. Before turning fully to film, she spent over a decade leading projects across the creative industries. Sunna co-founded the Icelandic Cinema ICO, the first VoD platform in Iceland. Sunna has gained international experience as associate producer on the features Beautiful Beings (2022) by Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson and A White, White Day (2019) by Hlynur Pálmason. In 2024, Sunna premiered her first feature as a delegate producer, Natatorium (2024) by Helena Stefánsdóttir, at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Followed by its North American premiere at SXSW. Sunna has completed the Nordic professional producers training program, Filling the Gap and is a graduate of EAVE – European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs.

Bjartsýn films is a production company based in Reykjavík, Iceland. The company was founded in 2017 by Sunna Gudnadóttir. It produces high-quality content with a focus on female-driven stories and artistic integrity. One of its notable productions is the feature film Natatorium, which premiered in early 2024 at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and had its North American premiere at SXSW.
