Qudoos Al-Maksoosi

Co-director and local producer Qudoos Al-Maksoosi (he/him) is a queer journalist, translator and researcher from Baghdad, Iraq. He researches and writes on diverse themes across the Middle East and Europe. He has contributed to numerous investigations related to human rights, published by the BBC, Al Jazeera and others, as well as working research roles in government and NGOs. Qudoos is the key to unlocking the biker scene, not only through his incredible language skills but because this is his story and his generation of young Iraqis: queer, talented and ambitious but suffocated and frustrated in their attempts to push for change.
