Memory Majeure follows the young Japanese physicist Fusa Miyake as she uncovers traces of vast solar forces hidden in ancient trees. What begins as a minor irregularity becomes a signal that reaches far beyond the forest.
From Fusa’s quiet revolution, the film climbs to cedar groves on remote Japanese islands, descends into Antarctic ice cores, and enters an operational space mission where European scientists prepare for the next extreme solar event.
Through intimate observation and cinematic scientific exploration, Memory Majeure unfolds between wonder and warning - reflecting on patience, doubt, and what it means to listen carefully to forces far larger than ourselves.
