Lena is Head of Acquisitions at Quintus Studios, where she oversees the curation and acquisition of high-quality documentary content for the company’s global digital channel network. With extensive experience in documentary filmmaking and production, she plays a key role in identifying and securing premium content that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Previously, Lena worked for BBC Studios for six years, overseeing special projects and documentary co-productions between the BBC and broadcasters in Germany and France. As a filmmaker, her documentary feature Dragan Wende – West Berlin won Best Documentary at the Max Ophüls Festival and was featured in over 100 festivals. Her film “Im Maschinenraum der Klimapolitik” was commissioned for the ARTE theme evening “Aufgeheizt – der Kampf ums Klima”. Lena is also the creator and festival director of CARBONALE – the Festival for Climate Culture in Berlin, and served for four years as a member of the Friedensfilmpreis Jury at the Berlinale. She joined Quintus Studios as Head of Acquisitions in 2019, continuing her focus on documentary curation and acquisition at a global scale.
