Christiana (29) was born and raised in Munich – but is stateless, like 15 million other people worldwide. Because her parents couldn‘t prove their identity when migrating to Germany, she is not allowed to vote or travel without special authorization and had to fear deportation for years, to a country she never knew. The feeling of not being good enough for Germany is a constant companion. Now, she co-founded the first global community for stateless people and fights to establish their rights in German law. She talks to members of the parliament, gives interviews and speaks on conferences. Through her we will meet other stateless people throughout the world and get to know their stories and struggles. Her political battle confronts Christiana with her childhood traumas, when she felt, she was not allowed to put down roots anywhere. The film does not stop at her consternation, but reflects a new beginning and the incredible power that drives her.
