A Boy

A Boy

Jurģis is a thirteen year old boy with autism spectrum disorder, who is being raised by his single mother Solvita together with his grandmother Janīna. Solvita is doing everything in her power to make sure Jurgis' childhood is bright and full of all sorts of activities. Jurģis also enjoys his school life, in which he is a part of a class of children with disabilities. However, the future of the boy is unpredictable, as the government is working on a decision on an ''inclusive education'', which might eliminate special classes like his, resulting in children with disabilities having to study in regular schools. Throughout several years, ''A Boy'' will capture Jurģis unpredictable future and the relationship with his mother, observing how both of them live with changes in life and time.
