Bee Happy?!

We have to recognize nature's warning signs: honey bees and wild bees are in bad shape and if we don't treat them better, humanity will destroy its own livelihood. Without these important pollinators, humanity would be in a radical food crisis after just a few years. But instead of caring for bees in a species-appropriate manner, we exploit them and at the same time we are destroying their livelihoods through agricultural monocultures, pesticides and human-caused climate change.One thing is certain: The bee doesn't need us to survive. They have been around for millions of years longer than us. But we need the bee to survive. Food is political. And that also applies to honey. This film tells the story of outcries from nature and asks: How can we do it better? A journey of discovery with Maja Lunde that shows what's going wrong and how new species- appropriate ways of bee keeping can look like.
