Nicole Wegner

Nicole Wegner, born in the former GDR, started as a trailer editor at MTV. Wegner studied film and animation and graduated from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne with her award-winning feature music documentary “Parallel Planes”. She produces, directs and edits documentary films connecting musical subcultures, political action and digital scapes. 

She received the Gerd Ruge Grant from Film und Medienstiftung NRW and plans to direct her upcoming docuseries “They Got You Fighting A Culture War” which looks into culture wars and online political radicalisation. (Particular Productions, Germany)
