Felix Meyer-Christian

Felix Meyer-Christian is a writer and director and the founder of the Berlin based artist group Costa Compagnie. He works in the fields of film, theater, AR and dance. His multimedia pieces, many of which are filmed in areas of war and conflict, such as in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, South Sudan and others, focus on global transformational processes. They seek the connections between diametrically opposed realities and live from the direct exchange with the people on site, whose stories and voices are often underrepresented in mainstream contexts of politics, media and art. His works have been funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation and the Cities of Hamburg and Berlin and have been integrating the use of 360°-cameras and immersive 360°-projection, VR and AR and artificial-intelligence on stage since several years. His first documentary feature film "Independence" premiered in 2023 at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis and was awarded „Best Documentary“ (Film Critics’ Award) and „Best Music“ and will have its Germany wide theatrical release in March 2024.
