Christopher Larson is an award-winning documentary filmmaker with over 8 years of experience in storytelling. Originally from the U.S., he holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Oxford and splits his time between Germany and Spain.

Christopher’s work explores the intersections of identity, belonging, and resilience. He has directed multiple short documentaries that have screened at international festivals and received numerous awards. His film The Fisherman’s Net won Best Short Documentary at Bristol Independent Film Festival, while his latest work, Distilled, was awarded Best Documentary at Berlin Indie Film Festival.

Guided by a deep respect for his subjects, Christopher brings an ethical, intimate lens to every story he tells—whether set in coastal fishing communities or across borders shaped by displacement. His films strive to make the invisible seen, fostering connection and empathy through compelling character-driven narratives.
