Christo Hird
Founder and managing director of Dartmouth Films, which in the UK has pioneered new ways of funding, producing and distributing documentaries – from dream to screen. Virtually all of Dartmouth's films receive UK theatrical releases and are sold to international broadcasters or platforms. Among the films which Christo has executive produced are the Sundance premiered films Black Gold (2007); The End of the Line (2009), The Flaw (2011) and Fire in the Blood (2013). Films premiered at Sheffield DocFest include Lost in Vagueness (2017), later shown on Sky, Cambodian Spring (2017) and The Ballymurphy Precedent (2018), shown on Channel 4. In 2020 OneMan and His Shoes premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, before being shown on Storyville and Bank Job premiered at Hot Docs '21
