Ingvil Giske has a bachelor in documentary filmmaking from Høyskolen i Volda, and has worked in documentaries for more than 25 years. Among her latest releases are the Sundance-winner ‘The Remarkable Life of Ibelin’ which was shortlisted for an Oscar and nominated for a Primetime Emmy, and DOX:AWARD-winner 2022 ‘The Eclipse’, that later was part of the documentary selection at the European Film Academy and nominated for the EUFA Award. 

She has produced several docs for younger audiences, ‘Todd & SuperStella’, ‘Kid’s Cup’ (IDFA, Giffoni, Zlin etc) and the short doc ‘The School by the Sea’ (Hot Docs, Nordic Panorama etc). ‘The Painter and the Thief’ from 2020 received a special jury award for creative storytelling at Sundance, was on the shortlist for an Oscar and won more than 30 film awards, including a Grierson award. Ingvil has also produced the Prix Europa winner ‘Faith Can Move Mountains’ (2021) and ‘Dugma - the Button’ (2016), awarded Best Mid-length Documentary at HotDocs.
