SILBERSALZ 2020: NEW Dates & NEW Deadline for Science Projects

31.03.2020

The epidemic spread of COVID-19, the "corona virus", leads to drastic but necessary restrictions worldwide - this also applies to the SILBERSALZ which was originally planned in June 2020. After consultation with our initiators and partners we have now decided to postpone SILBERSALZ, to take place in Halle (Saale), Germany, from 14th of October to 18th of October 2020.

In view of the current exceptional situation, the health of our visitors*, speakers* and the team and a containment of the infection is our top priority. The public program in the city of Halle (Saale), the conference in the Leopoldina - National Academy of Sciences and the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Award in association with Jackson Wild will therefore now take place in October 2020.

If the situation allows, we will implement a larger, public installation in Halle during the original festival dates in June (25-28 June 2020) in order to advertise the new festival dates, and to create momentum by hosting talks with local and regional speakers on current debates.

Please note that the submission deadline for the Call for Science Projects will be shifted to 14 August 2020.
All information about the submission and the application form are still available under the following link: https://www.silbersalz-festival.com/en/call-for-science-projects
