Final Pitching 2007
The Art of Pitching
Discovery Campus e.V. invites documentary directors and producers to the Final Pitching Session of the Discovery Campus Masterschool 2007 which takes place parallel to the 50th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (29 October - 4 November). The 15 Masterschool participants will pitch their documentary projects for an international audience developed in this year’s masterclass to international commissioning editors and distributors.
REGISTRATION AS OBSERVER:
Interested producers, authors, directors and editors are invited to register for the Pitching Session as observers. By listening to the pitches and reactions of the decisionmakers, observers learn more about the slots, profiles and programming requirements of the broadcasters, and will get a good insight into the trends of the international non-fiction market. Register here
GUEST PITCHES:
NEW: Please note that we do not offer guest pitch slots any more as these are reserved from this year onwards for our partner training institutions.
BUT: We have increased the number of surprise pitches from 2 to 3 slots so you should take this chance to present your well-prepared project to an ever increasing number of commissioning editors! And of course you always have the possibility to approach the commissioners during coffee and lunch breaks in a familiar atmosphere.
Together with our partners Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Sächsische Stiftung für Medienausbildung and the broadcaster MDR, Discovery Campus invites you to exciting days with an extraordinary range of international experts and decisionmakers. Seize the chance to meet commissioning editors and distributors in a personal and friendly atmosphere and to find coproducers for your documentary film projects.
Please note: The number of observer seats is limited! They are given away following the receipt of the registrations. The Pitching Session will be held in English without simultaneous interpreting into German.
Discovery Campus looks forward to welcoming you in Leipzig!
