1st Symposium 2006

Napoleon's Space Race into Nano-Mysteries

How Specialist Factual Revolutionises Television

The 1st Discovery Campus Symposium was dedicated to discussions, presentations and case studies shedding light on two non-fiction genres which were once synonym for audiovisual boredom but have recently attracted huge audiences and become very hot in the international market: Science and History – the so-called specialist factual. A special focus was put on the changing situation in Italian TV where new slots and broadcasters create hope for the deserted Italian documentary scene.
