The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences just announced the Oscar nominations. This year, a film of the Documentary Campus Masterschool Rabbit a la Berlin by Bartek Konopka is competing for the Golden Oscar Statuette. The ceremony announcing the winners will take place on Sunday, 7 March 2010, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.

Documentary Campus is thrilled to announce that Rabbit à la Berlin, a film developed at the Masterschool 2006 by Bartek Konopka, Piotr Rosolowski and Anna Wydra, is among this year’s Oscar nominees! Rabbit à la Berlin will compete in the Documentary Short Subject category along with four other films. The documentary, a Polish-German coproduction of Anna Wydra MS Films, Telewizja Polska and ma.ja.de Filmproduktion, MDR, RBB in association with ARTE, YLE, Lichtpunt and VPRO, tells the story of the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall through the perspective of the rabbits trapped between the walls as they face entrapment, adjustment, and eventual freedom and all of the other trials of being an ordinary rabbit caught between two conflicting ideologies.

So fingers crossed in four weeks time, when we hear the famous line: “And the Oscar Goes To...”
