Films of Former DCM participants at IDFA

Films of three former Discovery Campus Masterschool participants have been selected for the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. IDFA is one of the largest documentary festivals in the world and takes place on 22 November – 2 December, 2007.

Divorce Albanian Style, which was just nominated by the European Film Academy for Documentary 2007 – Prix ARTE, will be screened within the Jan Vrijman Fund Film Programme. The film was developed at the Discovery Campus Masterschool 2003 by Bulgarian director Adela Peeva.

In the same non competitive programme section Alexandru Solomon from Romania will present his new film Cold Waves about Radio Free Europe. Alexandru was a DCM participant in 2001 with his multiple award winning project The Great Communist Bank Robbery.

Corinne van Egeraat (DCM 2005) was selected for the Highlights of the Lowlands programme with her doc Micha Klein, Speeding on the Virtual Highway. Her Masterschool project Bridging the Gap about young Europeans working for the UN in Africa, has gone into production and is scheduled to be released in 2008.
