International Broadcasting Executives in Munich
Discovery Campus will welcome 19 international experts at its upcoming Open Training Session titled "Secrets of TV - Commissioning Editors pitch their slots" which takes place in Munich/Germany between April 23 and 25.
High executives from broadcasters such as ARTE, Channel One Russia, Discovery Networks Europe and National Geographic Channels International will present their documentary slots and programming strategy to more than 100 producers and filmmakers from 21 countries.
The following experts have already confirmed their participation: Axel Arnö (SVT/SE), Heiner Backensfeld (NDR), Burgl Czeitschner (ORF, AT), Nicolas Deschamps (ARTE France), Hans Robert Eisenhauer (ARTE G.E.I.E./FR), Goggo Gensch (SWR/GER), Mark Green (NatGeo/USA), Mette Hoffmann Meier (TV2/Danmark), Patrick Hörl (Discovery Channel Germany), Bert Janssens (HOS Humanistische Omroep/NL), Ann Julienne (France 5), Richard Klein (BBC), Tom Koch (WGBH/USA),Marijke Rawie (AVRO/NL), Iikka Vehklahti (YLE /FI), Marian Williams (Discovery Networks Europe/UK) and Oleg Volnov, Deputy General Director of Political Programming at Channel One Russia
Schedulers from public and private channels will give an insight into their programming strategies and explain how documentary slots are placed. In a special presentation Vitaly Fedko (Corona Films) from St. Petersburg will present Russia's first interactive broadband television channel 'SARMAT 01 ' which has recently been launched.
