Masterschool Graduate Eremenko wins Russian "Lavr"
Berlin based director Ekaterina Eremenko who graduated from the Discovery Campus Masterschool 2002 has won the Russian National Cinema Award "Lavr" as best debut for her documentary "The Sounds of Russia".
Eremenko had developed the film parallel to her Masterschool project "My Class" and raised the interest of commissioning editors from ZDF/ARTE and YLE during the Masterschool.
Currently Ekaterin Eremenko is editing a third documentary for ARTE France, MDR, RTR and YLE titled "Big Bones, Big Business" which was again financed through her Masterschool contacts.
Her Masterschool project "My Class" is in pre-production and will be produced as a feature length documentary with Zero Films in Berlin.
