HERBSTGOLD by Masterschool Alumnus Jan Tenhaven
„Herbstgold“ hits the big screen Alumnus film in German cinemas from 8th of July
Jan Tenhaven’s feature documentary „Herbstgold“ (english: „Autumn Gold“) tells the life-affirming of story of five athletes from across Europe who train for the next world championships. Their biggest challenge ist their age: These potential world champions are between 80 and 100.
The film had its world premiere at the Hot Docs International Documentary Festival in Toronto. It was celebrated with standing ovations and won the Filmmakers Award. The film also ranked fourth in the Audience Top Ten Favourites out of 170 films screening at Hot Docs.
Jan was a participant of the 2007 Documentary Campus Masterschool. Although „Herbstgold“ was not his Masterschool project, he says that „the campus experience has proofed to be a very important kick-off“ for his career in international documentary making. „Herbstgold“ is Jan’s first feature length film.
