Screenings of DCM films at GZ DOC 2008, China
The 2007 Leipzig screenings of Masterschool films were a formidable success with the audience, and it seems that festival scouts from China were equally impressed. Both DCM documentaries that were presented in the framework of last year’s International Leipzig Festival for Documentary & Animated Film have been selected for the 2008 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival (1-5 December, 2008).
Marc Eberle’s film The Most Secret Place on Earth – The CIA’s Covert War in Laos (DCM 2003) and Traders’ Dreams by Stefan Tolz and Marcus Vetter (DCM 2004) will be screened out of competition at China’s most important professional event and market focusing on documentary. The GZ DOC Screening endeavours to introduce outstanding documentaries to the Chinese audience who rarely have access to these films.
