La Mère nominated for EFA Prix Arte
The European Film Academy have announced the nominations in the category European Film Academy Documentary 2008 – Prix Arte. There is a total of nine documentary films nominated, among them La Mère (The Mother) by Antoine Cattin and Pavel Kostomarov. La Mère was developed at the Discovery Campus Masterschool 2005 and has won several prizes since its premiere last year. The awards ceremony of the 21st European Film Awards will take place in Copenhagen on 6 December 2008.
We are proud that this is the fourth consecutive year in which documentaries coming out of the MEDIA-supported Masterschool programme have been nominated for the EFA Prix Arte:
- 2008: La Mère by Antoine Cattin and Pavel Kostomarov
- 2007: Divorce Albanian Style by Adela Peeva
- 2006: 37 Uses for a Dead Sheep by Ben Hopkins
- 2005: The Devil’s Miner by Richard Ladkani and Kief Davidson
- 2005: Before Flying Back to the Earth by Arunas Matelis
