How to apply

This year’s application procedure enables you to hand in all materials online by uploading your project information on www.reelisor.com

For a successful application, we need from you:
- Application Form with signature
- 2 page proposal
- Motivation to take part in the Masterschool
- Info on production team: CVs and company profile if applicable
- Self-presentation clip (max. 4min) and a short show reel of previous works

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

If you are not yet a member on reelisor please follow the instructions 1-8. If you are a Reelisor, please start with point 3.

  1. Register on reelisor. Basic registration is free and grants you full use of the site.

  2. Once you are approved, please start filling in your profile here and add your CV & filmography

  3. Then upload your project information here.

  4. Please fill out all requested details, at least the following:

    • Description: Please fill in your proposal
    • Co-Production Company: Please add your company profile if applicable
    • Genre: Please specify
    • Countries: Please specify the country of production
    • Team: To upload info on the production team, click on the section “Team” where everybody involved in the project can add themselves
    • If you are applying together with a team partner, you can either add him/ her directly from you reelisor contacts or write the name directly into the text field.
    • Under project settings, please click on edit and choose “Only Documentary Campus / reelisor ADMINs can see this project”

  5. Please add your self presentation clip in the top right corner (trailer) by clicking on “edit”. Please pay attention to the required format: You can upload a MPEG, MOV, or AVI file. The reelisor video player is 480px wide. Maximum file size is 50 MB. Alternatively you may use the trailer upload via our partner onlinefilm http://www.onlinefilm.org/. Please note that in this case, your trailer will be viewable for all members on onlinefilm.org. Important If you prefer to make your trailer only available to the DCM selection committee, please upload your trailer directly on reelisor.

  6. Under "file upload", please add a short showreel of previous works packed as a zip file. The maximum file size is 50 MB.

  7. Under "file upload", please add a PDF document which contains the following information (please stick to the order):

    • 2 page proposal
      (The following details have to be part of the exposé: Name of author, company, address, nationality, title of project, subject, synopsis, genre, length, format, filmic style, target audience, brief description of the project’s international potential, rough budget (if already available). Please clearly state exactly what role it is you will fulfil in your project (director, author, producer, etc.). Your synopsis must give us a coherent sense of the film, and of the story you want to tell. It will not be enough to simply give us the idea or the subject matter without offering structural suggestions too.)
    • CVs & filmography
    • company profile (if applicable)
    • letter of motivation

  8. Please add a picture of your project in top left corner by clicking on “edit”. You can upload a JPEG file, width: 140px, height: 185px. Maximum file size is 100 Kb. You can crop and resize pictures online at mypictr.

  9. To finalise the application, please fill out the application form, which is available here and send the signed document to us at info@documentary-campus.com
