On a unique journey, a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) is sailing in uncharted waters exploring new routes that the climate change is creating. For 7.000 nm from London to Nome Alaska, it will cross the legendary NorthWest Passage and the Bering Strait. The crew, experienced ribbers, scientists and cinematographers, test their limits on a quest for their own Ithaca.
The Melting team will be on board for 2 months sailing 10 hours daily, filming the expedition that will fuel the discussion on climate change.
Melting is not only about icebergs and glaciers. It’s about radical changes on ecosystems and the effects on animal populations and local communities. It’s a preview of our future, a call for personal consciousness and social change.
