I Cook Here Now

People from all over the world come to the Central Germany region to for many extraordinary and varied reasons, ranging from love to asylum. They are physical therapists, IT-experts and restaurant owners. We follow them in everyday life and learn about their culture through the food they buy, cook, eat, and celebrate with, while interacting in their society.

Representatively for many countries in the world concerning current affairs, we ask: Which memories do you have of your homeland? What was the hardest part leaving? What is the hardest part living here? In the kitchen, the characters tell us their stories and show us their recipes: How has life changed? What does it means to live in Germany? And what does it take to create a new home? A series about community diversity that is relevant to us all..
