Dreams Without a Home

"Dreams Without a Home" is a documentary about Burmese refugee children who change their brutal reality into a colorful daydream. Their families had to leave Myanmar to escape war, detention and famine. Now they have no other chance of survival other than living on a landfill in Thailand. These children live right in the middle of mountains of trash, surrounded by swarms of flies and putrid smells. Yet their childlike perspective changes everything. The playful world of the children in contrast to the depressing reality of their situation is hauntingly bittersweet. This is a story about elusive happiness, unbroken dignity and powerful hopes and dreams. This documentary will be told by the children.
