In recent years, violence in Mexico has increased dramatically because drug cartels are invading remote, indigenous territory. People who refuse to plant opium poppies instead of native corn are forced to exile. Cruz is the story of a Raramuri man and his community who lose their lands to the drug traffickers. For the past two years, they have been forced to live in total anonymity, under the constant threat of death, uprooted, far from everything that is familiar to them, desperately seeking justice and a way back to their home land.
