Beauty in the Beast

As never before in history, animals are members of society.

The film digs into this larger phenomenon to contemplate the interactions of humans with many kinds of creatures. From animals as tourist attractions to animals in conflict zones, the film explores the idea of companion species, those who meet and manage to live together. In these well-observed animal-human encounters, the director finds curiosity and respect, fear and love, and sometimes hate and disgust.
