Event Summary: Getting Real About VR in KL
Hands-on VR experiences, expert speakers and a relaxed atmosphere made the Crossing Borders workshop day Getting Real About VR in KL an event that inspired and informed. From the basics of VR, 360°, 180° and AR through to the latest cameras and editing software, attendees were treated to a day packed with information related to VR production for doc makers. VR isn't for every story but it is being commissioned. Bryan Seah from Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific talked about new opportunities for filmmakers, while Singapore-based VR practitioners Lionel Chok (iMMERSIVELY) and Cornel Hillmann (studio.cgartist.com) gave practical advice and presented the latest tech in VR.
VR is evolving every day. The future is coming fast. “Getting Real About VR” was the first taste of VR for many of the participants and judging by their enthusiasm they'll be back for more!
The event was curated and moderated by Ruth Berry, First Act Films.
Getting Real About VR took place within the framework of the first Crossing Borders workshop.
