Documentary Campus appoints Dr. Claudia Schreiner (Head of Program Culture and Scienec, MDR) as new Head of Masterschool.
The Executive Board of Documentary Campus, a European initiative that provides advanced training to documentary filmmakers across the world, is delighted to announce Dr. Claudia Schreiner as its new Head of Masterschool from 2018 onwards. The Call for Entries for 2018 has been launched. Application Deadline November 30th, 2017.
Throughout her career as Head of Programme Culture & Science at the MDR, Claudia has been a strong and constant supporter of Documentary Campus's work. Claudia has been involved in the Masterschool as a tutor and helped many projects come to live. Together with the MDR, she has been our partner for the annual Leipzig Networking Days. We are now looking forward to a new chapter with her leading the Masterschool programme.
Claudia, who was born in Cologne, studied American History, Political Science and Archaeology. She received her MA from Columbia University, NYC, and her doctorate from the University of Cologne.
The Masterschool is a programme in which 15 European producer/director teams develop their documentaries at workshops across Europe with the help of international experts. Over the past 17 years Documentary Campus has hosted over 70 events in Europe, trained over 20,000 international delegates and organised 17 Masterschools.
Dr. Claudia Schreiner will take over from Jan Rofekamp, who was on a two-year contract and will step down as Head of Masterschool at the end of 2017.
