SILBERSALZ is a young, innovative film and science festival, which celebrated its first edition in 2018 and will be back next year from 27-30 JUNE 2019.
Combining film screenings, installations, lectures, workshops and panel discussions, SILBERSALZ will make science accessible to the general public in a clear and vivid fashion. SILBERSALZ will also serve as a modern, interactive platform for the exchange of ideas and mutual inspiration.
SILBERSALZ’s goal is to promote a lively and active engagement with science; its focus is an open-ended dialogue. It's less about finding concrete answers and more about asking pertinent questions, illuminating complex topics and thus improving the participant’s view of the world. SILBERSALZ’s program is varied and extensive and is aimed at anyone who is interested, whether young or old, layman or expert, science fan or skeptic.
Besides a public program and a youth focus, the two-day SILBERSALZ conference program is a closed format consisting of lectures given by experts, discussion round tables and workshops.
SILBERSALZ is an initiative of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and Documentary Campus in partnership with the city of Halle, the state of Saxony-Anhalt, the scientific institutions Wissenschaft im Dialog and the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, science2public and the Media Institute Saxony-Anhalt.
